Making pizza at home is easier than you might think! If you’re craving a delicious, cheesy slice of pizza but don’t want to order delivery, this easy cast iron pizza recipe is just the thing for you. It’s quick and easy to make, and simply delicious! It’s also a kid-friendly recipe to make if you have little ones who are eager to learn how to cook. Just grab some pre-made pizza dough, your cast iron pan, and a few other basic ingredients, and you’re ready to get cooking!

1 handful thinly sliced red onion

Heat a pan and coat the bottom with 3 tablespoons of olive oil. Then, sauté mushrooms for 3-5 minutes, season them with salt, and stir occasionally until they brown. Once the mushrooms are tender, set them aside.

Generously oil a 10-inch cast iron skillet with olive oil, then place your pizza dough in the center of the pan. Use your fingers to stretch the dough to the edges of the pan, then let the dough rest for 10 to 15 minutes.

Spread pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a bit of room at the edges for the crust. Then, sprinkle the dough with mozzarella and parmesan cheese, and top with the oregano, basil, mushrooms, bell pepper, red onion, and olives.

Top the dough with more mozzarella and parmesan, then bake in the oven for 13 minutes at 475 degrees Fahrenheit until the cheese is browned.

Use a spatula to transfer the cast iron pizza to a cutting board, then slice it into quarters and serve it up!
