The highly-anticipated prequel to Game of Thrones is just around the corner: House of the Dragon's first episode drops on Sunday, August 21. With a little under a month before a new battle for the Iron Throne hits our television screens, the cast dressed in their best red carpet looks to attend the world premiere of the show in Los Angeles.

Olivia Cooke looked glamorous in a blue sequin Thom Browne gown, and accessorized with Garrard jewelry. Cooke is set to play Lady Alicent Hightower, the daughter of the Hand of the King, Ser Otto Hightower.
Emma D’Arcy embraced the oversized suit trend, and wore a Vetements look to the premiere. D'Arcy portrays Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, the eldest child of King Viserys.
Milly Alcock stunned in an archival Alexander McQueen gown to the premiere. Alcock plays a younger version of D'Arcy's Princess Rhaenyra.
Toussaint, who portrays Lord Corlys Velaryon a.k.a. "The Sea Snake," was all smiles on the red carpet. The Velaryons are a notable change from Fire and Blood, the book that House of the Dragon is based on. In the TV show, they are a wealthy Black family.
Best plays Princess Rhaenys Velaryon, married to Toussaint's Lord Velaryon. She looked regal in a black corseted derss.
On the red carpet, Matt Smith was a picture of effortless cool. Smith makes his grand return to television after portraying Prince Philip on the first two seasons of the Crown. In House of the Dragon, he plays Prince Daemon Targaryen, the supposed heir to the throne.
Fabian Frankel opted for a gray suit. In the series, he plays play Ser Criston Cole, the common-born son of the steward to the Lord of Blackhaven. In the books, he is a knight who loves Princess Rhaenrya.
Emily Carey looked futuristic in her Givenchy Spring 2022 get up. She plays a young version of Cooke's Alicent Hightower.
